(M) Jan 20                                         No School – MLK Day

Dear Families,
Thank you for your patience with our “wintry” weather over the past week.  Unfortunately, the compression of several events from two full weeks of December classes to one full week has caused a few changes.  Remember that all school days that were cancelled will be made up later in the year. The district will have conversations with stakeholders (teachers and community) regarding the placement of the make-up days.  Below is a summary of the RMS events calendar changes for December.

Monday, Dec. 16- Winter Choir Concert- Cancelled (we will have conversations about how to make this up later in the year)
Tuesday, Dec. 17- Final HAP pick-up day (send in canned foods with your students!)
Wednesday, Dec. 18- Advanced Band Concert at SEHS- Cancelled (again, conversations regarding possible make-up)
Thursday, Dec. 19- Site Council (cancelled and replaced with RMS leadership meeting)
Friday, Dec. 20- Assembly- Cancelled (we will have a regular school day)

Have a wonderful Holiday Break!

Chris Mitchell
Principal- Roosevelt Middle School
HAP Still needs You!
There is still time to contribute to this year’s Holiday Assistance Program.  Due to last week’s snow days we all missed the scheduled final HAP collection day, but never fear, the new FINAL collection day is next Tuesday, December 17th.  Please support our Roosevelt community by sending in donations of high quality food items, grocery store gift cards, or cash by next Tuesday.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of you for supporting HAP.
