Online payments can be made at our dedicated direct drive page at https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/rmsdd .
Some Roosevelt students still have incomplete/insufficient or no records for their immunizations. There are 2 additional opportunities for students to get needed vaccines at the 2 Eugene School Based Health Centers prior to and on the day of exclusion.
On Monday February 19, 2018–a no school day–the Churchill Health Center will be open with Peacehealth staff to give immunizations to children. They will take appointments and walk ins–would prefer that parents call in the morning or come prior to 3:30pm so that they can accommodate everyone.
On exclusion day, Wednesday February 21, the North Eugene Center will be open with extra staff to give immunizations, both by appointment and walk-in, so that students can quickly return to school. The staff would welcome calls in the morning to schedule appointments or families can start to come in as soon as the doors are open at 7:30am.

Does Tween to Teen Have to Be As Hard As It Seems? How Parents Can Support Their Middle School Student’s Wellness
Please come join your parent community and take part in a special evening meeting at RMS on Tuesday, March 6th from 6:00 – 7:30, to discuss how to identify stress as it affects your kids, and how to support wellness and resilience in them (and the whole family!) in response.
Led by local psychotherapists Rachel Cazavilan and Paul Bolle, this interactive meeting will help develop ways for you to improve communication around stress and anxiety; how to increase healthy habits that benefit body and mind; and how to feel more harmonious as a family through the teen years and beyond.
Refreshments will be served and childcare will be provided.
Building 4J’s Future:
We want to hear from you.
The Eugene School District is holding a community conversation about a potential bond measure to improve school buildings and learning materials. Your input is needed!
Most of 4J’s school buildings were constructed in the 1940s to 1960s, and some are even older. Other capital improvements are needed due to changing enrollment, educational program needs and aging buildings and materials.
The district’s long-range facilities plan, updated in 2013 after significant community input, calls for bond measures in 2013 and 2018 to replace, renovate or remodel several school buildings and make other improvements.
Voters approved a bond measure in 2013 and replaced four aging school buildings—Roosevelt Middle School, Arts & Technology Academy, Howard Elementary School and River Road/El Camino del Río Elementary School—and made other building improvements, upgraded technology and curriculum, replaced school buses, and more.
The board is now considering a potential bond measure to be placed on the November 2018 ballot, and wants to hear from community members about their views on priorities and how to proceed. No decisions have been made yet.
Community forums have been scheduled in different locations across the district so community members may choose a convenient time and location. Spanish interpretation will be provided.
