A library card is the most powerful school supply a student can have, and all students in 4J schools are eligible for a free Eugene library card – including those who live outside of the Eugene city limits. The library card application was mailed to families as an insert in the district handbook, but if you misplaced yours, call the office (541-790-8500) and we can make arrangements to get one to you.
School Food Service
Meals continue to be available from 10:45 am to 2:00 pm each school day. We’d love to see you at school for this fantastic district service! On Fridays three days of meals will are distributed to cover the weekend days.
They are finally here! Roosevelt’s 2019-2020 yearbooks have been delivered and are ready for families to pick up Monday and Tuesday, October 5 and 6 between 8am and 4pm at the bus drop-off/pick-up area in front of the school. Turn into the the bus drop-off on the west end of the building, across from the tennis courts on 24th Ave. Pull forward as far as possible and pause in front of our tables. Picture ID of the person picking up the yearbook will be required. Please wear masks and practice safe social distancing. If you are not able to pick up your student’s yearbook on either of those days then please email Karen Kingzett (firstname.lastname@example.org) for an alternative plan. Thank you for your patience as we all have waited for these yearbooks to arrive.

Chess Club is Back!
Hello Roosevelt Parents. For 27 years, we at Southside Chess have been providing on-site Chess Club opportunities to 4J Students. The coronavirus has caused us to change our format, at least for now, but we have developed an OUTSTANDING ONLINE CHESS PROGRAM. Our summer chess program has been a tremendous success, and we will continue to provide chess to 4J students. It is a little different in that we will be dividing students into skill-level groups instead of school club groups, but this is actually better for teaching purposes, and we will have school team competitions later in the year, among many online chess playing opportunities. Let’s keep our outstanding 4J chess program going. 20% DISCOUNT FOR STUDENTS OF PARENTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED BECAUSE OF CORONAVIRUS.
