Message from the Principal & Assistant Principal
Dear RMS Families:

In this start to a holiday season like no other, we wish you the very best in a short week ahead. We’ll have more updates next week about the end of the trimester… until then, thanks for staying aware and connected to us at school!

Our best,
Courtney and Mike

The RMS News
We’re pleased to announce… the newest publication from RMS: The RMS News: Where Roosevelt Begins. This blog is a student-run endeavor with student-created content– you can see it and subscribe here: https://rmsnewspaper.wordpress.com/.
Special recognition to Madison Becker, Jessica Chinitz-Mital, Emmett Coughlan, Ansley Johnston, Lenora Lambeth, Aria Lynn-Skov, Betty Skrbic and Lily Yao for their vision and organization! And, special thanks to Melanie Williams and her students who contributed some beautiful bilingual poems. If you have topics you’d like to see discussed or addressed on the blog, please email thermsnewspaper@gmail.com.

Virtual Activity Night Planning
PAR is working to create some fun ways for students to connect virtually this year and we’d love your input and ideas. While we can’t hold a traditional activity night as we have in years past, we’re looking to find some other ways to allow students to get together in safe, virtual ways.

Please go to our poll at Doodle: PAR Virtual Activity Night Planning Session to choose a date and time that works for you to meet virtually for a planning session. And as always, feel free to share this information with other Roosevelt families who may not subscribe to eNews but would like to be involved. Email Alexis at ancborrevik@yahoo.com with questions, ideas, or more. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Roosevelt families. Stay healthy and safe.

Reminder for Student Meal Pick-Up
Be safe when you pick up student meals at Roosevelt. Please remember to wear your mask when picking up meals; this keeps you and our staff safe. If wearing a mask is an issue, please consider signing up for delivery (https://www.4j.lane.edu/communications/coronavirus/foodservice/)

Library Cards
A library card is the most powerful school supply a student can have, and all students in 4J schools are eligible for a free Eugene library card – including those who live outside of the Eugene city limits. The library card application was mailed to families as an insert in the district handbook, but if you misplaced yours, call the office (541-790-8500) and we can make arrangements to get one to you.
