SHOWCASE 2016- RETRO ROOSEVELT

Showcase 2016, Retro Roosevelt, will be held on Friday, May 13th.  This important fundraiser and community-building event, is without a chairperson this year.   Because of this, we are seeking volunteers willing to coordinate a few parts of the event.  The positions that still need to be filled include:

1.     A la Carte dinner coordinator (no cooking required!)

2.     Student activity coordinator (no need to invent the activities!)

3.     Decorations for entry and signage for the event night (last year’s decorations can be updated and used!)

4.     Public relations and marketing designer (past materials may be updated!)

If you are willing to coordinate or contribute to the event in any capacity, please email or call Julie Hubbard-McNall at jhmcnall@gmail.com / 503-349-2839.  All funds raised at Showcase are used for school staffing!

INCOMING FRESHMAN PARENT NIGHT April 27 7pm

Hello incoming Parents of the class of 2020.  We would like to cordially invite you to an information session on April 27th in the SEHS auditorium at 7:00 p.m. to help prepare for the transition from Middle to High School.  We are looking forward to having your students in our classrooms this next year and would like to share some information that we know parents have found helpful at this important time for you and your student.  In addition to providing information about summer program opportunities and how to make the most out of the last months of middle school we would like to give parents an opportunity to hear about the most effective ways parents can support their student in the first few weeks or months of their high school careers.  We know this is a busy time of the year with lots happening for each of you so we promise this will be time well spent and will certainly lead to a more successful transition.
