Support Roosevelt

There are a number of ways to help raise money for Roosevelt Programs. These ways range from direct donations from you to the Eugene Education Foundation (EEF), to “eScrip” – where you make a purchase, and the merchant donates to our school.  You can also help Roosevelt earn donations by linking your Target REDCard or Fred Meyer Rewards Card to RMS.

FIVE VERY IMPORTANT WAYS TO SUPPORT ROOSEVELT

1. Eugene Education Foundation

  • Support Roosevelt through direct donations to EEF (Eugene Education Foundation) at any time of the year, by clicking the link below and making an online contribution or sending a check. Make sure to note “RMS Staffing” in the designation box.
  • During February and March, the G.I.V.E. Campaign is in full swing!  Make a Generous Investment Valuing Education to support funding of additional teaching staff and keep our class sizes as low as we can!  See the linked Direct Donation Drive Letter and separate for more information. Or click on the link below to make an online donation right to EEF, noting “RMS Staffing” in the designation box.

2. eScrip: Shop and Earn Money for Roosevelt

  • This is the easiest way to help raise money for our school. You register credit cards, debit escript_medcards and merchant club cards – like your Safeway Club Card – and every time you shop, the merchant donates a percentage of your purchase to Roosevelt. Also, it’s not just for grocery purchases – Eddie Bauer and other merchants participate in this program.
  • Market of Choice donated more than $9000 to Roosevelt last year through the eScrip program. The money we have raised has been used to support staffing, buy computers and support the AVID Program.
  • Sign up or renew your cards. Encourage friends, neighbors and relatives to support Roosevelt this way.

1. Click here to go to eScrip.com

2. Identify Roosevelt Middle School – ID # 6723045 – as the recipient of the merchant’s
donation.

3. Register the numbers of your most used debit, credit / Safeway Club cards.

4. Use those same debit, credit and club cards to make your usual purchases at participating
stores.

5. For shopping online: If you’re registered with eScrip and use the eScrip Link every time you
shop online, you can earn money for Roosevelt.

  • Become a Good User of eScrip! Remember your password and get onto eScrip at least twice a year to review and update your file. There are many benefits to this: you can keep track of your grocery spending or follow how much money is going to Roosevelt. You can get better at working with this program and making all your online purchases through the online mall.
  • Each year, Safeway will require you to renew your Safeway Club Card at eScrip. To retain your password, got to www.escrip.com, then My eScrip, then Forgot my Password. Your password will be emailed to you.
  • Would you like to volunteer to help promote e-Scrip participation? Please contact Laura Fuhriman | fuhriman_l@4j.lane.edu or 541-790-8500
  • You can sign up your grandparents, relatives, friends, and neighbors to support Roosevelt Middle School through our eScrip program. Relatives do not need to live in Eugene or even Oregon to earn money for Roosevelt.

3. Back To School Shopping Means Time to Clip BOX TOPS!

  • box-topsBack to school shopping inevitably means an opportunity to clip and submit Box Tops to earn free money for Roosevelt. Look on paper goods, subject dividers and of course any of your Costco shopping. We will be collecting Box Tops and hope to raise some serious numbers for our October submission. Let’s beat last year’s earnings!  You may submit your Box Tops in the front office as well!
  • FREE MONEY – BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION! Roosevelt families, there’s a way to earn free money for our school and it’s as easy as conscious shopping. That’s right, just pay attention when you do your regular shopping and look for those Box Tops for Education. Some common brands where you will likely find Box Tops are: Avery office products and labels, Betty Crocker mixes, Cheerios, Nestle juice, Yoplait, Pillsbury, Ziploc bags, various cereals, Progresso Soups, Kleenex, Scott, Cottonelle, Fruit Roll-Ups, Nature Valley and more. See the attached Box Tops flyer for a more complete list. Ask your neighbors and family members to also save Box Tops for you. Each Box Top submitted is worth $.10 to Roosevelt.  Thank you for your continued support of Roosevelt and our students.
  • TIP: When you shop, before storing your food, look for Box Tops and clip them off immediately.

4. Sequential Biofuels has included Roosevelt in its “Driving for Change” program:

  • locations_medThis generous program allows Roosevelt families to “drive” donations to Roosevelt. When you purchase gas and/or other products at either station and mention Roosevelt, five cents of the gas price and five percent of in-store purchases from that receipt will be donated to Roosevelt on a quarterly basis. The two locations in Eugene are: 86714 McVay Highway and 1695 W. 18th Ave

5.   Fred Meyer Rewards Card.

  • You also can help Roosevelt earn donations from Fred Meyer by linking your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Roosevelt. You can search for Roosevelt by name or by our non-profit number, 86929. You still earn your Rewards Points, Fuel Points and Rebates, but also earn donations for Roosevelt.
