Science Field trip volunteers needed

Dear Parents,
We are looking for parent volunteers to help chaperone an all-day field trip for our two 7th grade science classes with Brian Naghski, on Friday, April 18. This is an exciting opportunity for students to explore real-world science at the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest in Blue River, OR.
Trip Details:
📍 Destination: HJ Andrews Experimental Forest
🗓 Date: Friday, April 18
🚌 Departure Location: RMS
🕣 Arrival at RMS: 8:30 AM
🕓 Return to RMS: 4:00 PM
Daily Agenda:

  • 8:30 AM: Arrive at RMS – attendance, gear check, good attitude
  • 8:45 AM: Depart for HJ Andrews (approx. 1 hr 10 min drive)
  • 10:00 AM: Arrival and welcome
  • 10:15–12:15 PM: Morning field investigations
  • 12:15–12:45 PM: Group lunch (bring your own), bathroom break, refill water
  • 12:45–2:45 PM: Afternoon field investigations
  • 2:45 PM: Depart HJA
  • 4:00 PM: Return to RMS
